What's My Gender?
The title isn't meant to make you guess at the child's gender. Rather, it is a question that many children ask themselves. This portrait session is part of a series entitled "portrait therapy for gender dysphoria". The concept is to afford a child the opportunity to dress in a manner consistent with how they see themselves. They often feel unable to have this experience on a daily basis due to societal pressures. This is also a crossover from the "Youth and Urban Decay" series featuring children in abandoned buildings around the world.
