As a lower middle income country, Thailand attracts migrant workers from neighbouring countries Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos. They usually find low paying jobs in factories, markets or the fishing industry. Although play an important role in keeping the economic machine working, they are usually invisible to the public eye.

My white family said it was fortunate that I looked more white, marginalizing the Asian half of my being. The Korean community of Chicago wanted nothing to do with me due with me, marginalizing the white half of my being. Not fitting into one group of people in such a tribal society did marginalize me, but it also served as inspiration to become an artist.
